Clare Mertz has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, joining First Albany Corporation following her graduation from the University at Albany in 1987 with a BA in English. At First Albany, Clare was an Operations Liaison, Associate Vice President of Equity Syndicate, and Vice President of Product Development. She received her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University at Albany in 1993. Clare was an Investment Executive with Janney Montgomery Scott in Albany, NY. In August 2003, Clare joined Capital Financial Planning where she is responsible for marketing, operations, compliance, recruiting, and executive strategic planning and implementation. A nationally published writer, Clare lives in Voorheesville, NY. She enjoys reading, creative writing, music, travel, animals, and family activities. Clare is an active community volunteer who serves on numerous boards and committees. Originally from Long Island, Clare enjoys the beauty of New York State including its beaches, lakes, and mountains.
