World Kindness Day - November 13
You never know what other people are going through, so just be kind. I know someone who practices random acts of kindness and they inspire me. They’ll see a first responder in line buying coffee and will quietly tell the cashier they’ll pay for them. They will note a young family out at dinner and pick up the tab. They’ll see an older person with a veteran hat at the gas pump and swipe their card to buy their gas. They’ll also brush the snow off of people’s cars in the parking lot, pick flowers and give bouquets to seniors, send encouraging notes to people going through hard times, and give sincere compliments to people who pass by - “great shoes!”, “your kids are so well behaved!”. Mostly, they smile at people - smiles are free and many people are lonely, hurting. It’s World Kindness Day - let it be the beginning.
