September 11th, 2001 - We All Remember Where We Were
Many of us went to work that day and came home to see our families once again. For thousands of others in the towers, in the planes, on the ground, and the brave souls who were running in as others were running out, it was not the case. We remember where we were - and the images of the planes going into the towers are etched upon our minds forever. In the years since, many first responders developed illnesses and still suffer. That day is one of everlasting grief. Yet, In the days following that sunny September morning that turned from a blue=sky heaven to an earthly hell, we came together in civility, in peace, in love, a legacy of hope, of strength, of comfort, of togetherness. Let us not forget those days and turn toward capturing that spirit once more. If today was your last day, what mark would you leave? Saluting my colleagues in the financial services industry and all others - we remember.
