Is Your Financial Advisor Working Blindfolded?

Time goes by fast. Things change. New directions emerge. So, how old is the information you have shared with your financial professional? Are you working from a “foundation” that no longer exists? For example, have you changed jobs, inherited money, married or divorced, realized a substantial increase or reduction in income, developed a serious medical condition, incurred serious debt? Situations like these and more may impact your ability to withstand risk, may shorten or lengthen your time horizon, and may change your overall goals and objectives. If the information you have shared with your financial advisor is not up to date, the financial advisor may be basing their advice to you on outdated parameters. Would you want a blindfolded driver at the wheel? Please be sure to update your financial advisor about your financial circumstances - including accounts you might hold elsewhere. The more you share, the more likely they might be to assist you in making informed financial decisions.
