Hand sanitizer has gone from just some random hospitality item in our office to clients coming in and exclaiming, “Wow, you have hand sanitizer!” Each cold and flu season we have always cleaned our conference rooms and common areas with disinfectant wipes and sprays – even before it was trendy. Now people are coming in and saying, “It smells like Lysol®– I am so glad you do that!” In our break room, co-workers have actually thanked me for having a good supply of antibacterial soap, something I never thought anyone would notice never mind thank me for. We do these things as precautions. We recognize that we may not be able to completely prevent Coronavirus from coming to our area – it is in the next county. However, we can all take actions to try and prevent its spread. I cancelled attending a conference (which ended up being cancelled), another person cancelled their tickets to a major concert this month at Madison Square Garden (which ended up being cancelled), someone else cancelled a vacation. This, too, shall pass. In the meantime, let’s all do our part. Every little bit helps.
