A Sleep is as Good as a Meal
A co-worker’s Scottish grandmother was a highly quotable person. One quote her granddaughter shared was “A sleep is as good as a meal”. How true is that! How many of us simply do not get enough sleep? And, how great do we feel when we actually do? As the kids head back to school, we recognize it’s important for them to have a regular bedtime for concentration, energy, behavior, etc. But what about us adults? A regular bedtime, cutting back on caffeine, avoiding heavy meals late at night, removing technological devices from the bedroom, and more may help us to gain similar benefits. One thing I recently discovered is that investing in decent pillows makes a big difference. How many of us have slept with unsupportive pillows or an aged mattress? Take the time for sleep and create an environment conducive for sleeping - it may just help you toward accomplishing great things in your days. Well rested, I am ready to do just that.
